13 - 28 May 2010
First week: 13 - 20 May, second week: 20 - 28 May. The first and last days will be dedicated for organizations
and travel which will provide complete 7 paddling days in each week.
Last day for registration: March 15th.
Göteborg (Sweden) to Oslo (Norway) coastline.
This beautiful area has many small islands and only few people living there.
The islands are rocky and impressive, the sea is fairly protected and in the more exposed areas there
is always the option to hide behind the rocks and islands.
We will meet in Copenhagen and drive to Göteborg where we will start. It is also possible to make
your own way to the starting point.
Depending on flight times, we will try to paddle a few km in the first day already.
The aim is to paddle 20 to 30 km per day, depending in weather and sea conditions.
We will have time for short hikes and occasional coffee in the wonderful little towns we will meet on the way.
We will be sleeping in tents and the food is what one can expect in a field trip.
The paddler needs to have some experience. The ability to paddle up to 30 km day after day and to be able to
perform rescues.
It will be possible to join only to one week, but it depends on having someone to the other week.
Scandinavia has an excellent summer climate with a fair spring. The average temperatures expected for the season 10° - 15°. It can be rainy, but much less than other areas of Norway such as the Fjordland.
The price per week is 675$. For those who will join to the entire trip (two weeks) the total price
will be 1250$ (100$ discount).
The price includes guiding, maps and a kayak.
Not included: food, tent, sleeping bag, flights and travels.
Paddle, spraydeck and PFD can be provided with no extra charge, but please specify the need in advance
other wise, it will be assumed that you will bring your own gear.
10% of the trip's price needs to be paid before March 15. The deposit is not refundable past that date.
Participating in the trip requires you will have your own travel insurance that include search and rescue component.
There are flights to Copenhagen from all over Europe and beyond. Prices may go up closer to May we get,
so the advice is to get tickets as soon as I will send the confirmation of registering.
The end of the trip is in Oslo so Flight back may be ordered from there. Alternatively, you may take the overnight
ferry from Oslo to Copenhagen with me.
